Bank of Ann Arbor’s Sonic Lunch concert series will feature Adia Victoria with special guest Erin Zindle!
South Carolina native Adia Victoria received across-the-board rave reviews for her second album, “Silences,” produced by the National’s Aaron Dessner and released in early 2019 by Atlantic Records. Allmusic’s Timothy Monger called the album ‘strong and inventive’ in his four-out-of-five star review, while the Guardian’s Michael Hann in his own four-out-of-five star review says that the album is ‘all a bit wonderful, actually.’ Winning over fans and critics alike with her Southern gothic blues musical style, Victoria will bring her entire band to Sonic Lunch for a performance you won’t soon forget.
Taking the stage at 11:30 a.m. that morning will be our dear friend Erin Zindle, longtime leader of the Ann Arbor-based folk-rock-world fusion band the Ragbirds. Erin notes that her solo music is a definite departure from the uptempo, percussive-driven sound of the Ragbrids. As a solo artist she explores the quieter, edgier side of her musical psyche.
I think the pairing of Adia Victoria and Erin Zindle, two uniquely gifted singer-songwriters, is something pretty special. Don’t miss the show at Liberty Plaza on June 27!
