Boys Cross Country: Dreads run a close second at highly competitive SEC Jamboree 1

It was a three-team race at the head of the pack during the boys’ cross country SEC Jamboree 1 at Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter on Tuesday. Saline edged Dexter to the finish line as the Hornets finished with 52 points to Dexter’s 67. Pinckney was third with 83 points.

Pioneer ran fifth with 123 points, Huron was seventh (170) and Skyline 11th (285) in the 14-team field that included SEC teams from both the Red and White divisions.

The Dreadnaughts dominated the top of the field as seniors Owen Huard (15:55.45) and Nathan Larson went one-two at the finish line. Dexter senior Seth Read was ninth overall in 16:50.69.

Pioneer sophomore Owen Johnson was fifth in 16:35.93 and Huron senior Karsin Dass was 10th in 16:53.96.
