Girls Cross Country: Dreadnaughts run in competitive Jackson Invitational

The Dexter girls’ cross country team ran a strong race at the competitive Jackson Invitational this past weekend at Ella Sharp Park in Jackson.

The Dreadnaughts finished in 19th place with 530 points in a race that featured several of the best teams in the state including East Grand Rapids (first, 38 points) and Pioneer (second, 87). East Grand Rapids ran away with the title, finishing with an amazing 38 points as they placed four runners in the top nine spots.

Salem was third with 111 points followed by Saline (139), Bedford (186) and Troy (205) in the 22-team field.
