Encore Musical Theatre Company’s “Fun Home” in final stretch

The Encore Musical Theatre Company’ presentation of “Fun Home” is in its final days at the Dexter theater. The performance runs through Oct. 13, 2019.

Fun Home is directed by Vincent J. Cardinal, choreographed by , and music directed by Tyler Driskill. Fun Home is a musical based on the graphic novel by Alison Bechdel, with music by Jeanine Tesori, and book and lyrics by Lisa Kron.

As successful cartoonist, Alison Bechdel, works on her upcoming memoir she takes the audience on a journey through two important phases of her life. We find her as a child, struggling to relate to her closeted father, and searching for answers to complex questions. As a budding college student Alison begins to acknowledge her sexuality upon meeting the out-and-proud Joan. TICKETS

The story follows Small, Medium, and present-day Alison as their journeys weave into an unforgettable, universal story of love, acceptance, grief, and family.

Featuring iconic songs like, “Changing My Major,” “Ring of Keys,” and “Telephone Wire,” you don’t want to miss this ground-breaking story in our intimate setting this autumn.
