Coming Soon: Dexter Drama Club presents “The Wizard of Oz” Oct. 24-27

The Dexter Drama Club is celebrating the 80th anniversary of “The Wizard of Oz” with Fall Production shows Oct. 24-27 at Dexter High School CPA.

Directed by Erin Palmer, the show features Zoe Nowak as Dorothy, Anna Withrow as Aunt Em, John Brooks as Uncle Henry, Jackson Lewandowski as Hunk (scarecrow), Liam Fifelski as Hickory (tinman), Camden Markel as Zeke (lion), Jackson Helmholtz as The Wizard of Oz, Victoria Ward as The Wicked Witch of the East, Joey Hill as the Wicked Warlock of the West, and Maggie Needham was The Good Witch of the North.

With approximately 250 students who participate annually, the DHS Drama program is one of the largest clubs in the district and sponsors four productions a year: a fall musical, the Dexter Drama Directing “3D” Series, a winter musical complete with a student pit orchestra, and a spring play all now at Dexter High School Center for Performing Arts!

All shows are cast and crewed by students.

The fall production is a special event for the community this season because the cast and crew is composed of students from both Dexter High School and Mill Creek Middle School.
