Dexter Community Players will present Evil Dead the Musical, Oct. 24, 25, 26, 30, 31 and Nov. 1 and 2 at Copeland Theater, 7714 Ann Arbor St. in Dexter.
Based on Sam Raimi’s 80’s cult classic, Evil Dead tells the tale of five college students who travel to a cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force. Although it may sound like a horror story, it’s not! The songs are hilariously campy and the show is bursting with music, fun and a liberal amount of blood.
The show is directed by Jason Smith and musically directed by Jonathan Sills. Tickets range in cost from $15 to $25. The first few rows of the theater will be a “splatter zone” where audience members can get up front and personal with the fun gore involved in this production. Mature audiences are recommended.
