Dexter’s Parachek among “quarterbacks to watch this off-season”

Dexter’s Colin Parachek, who has led the Dreadnaughts to the postseason for two consecutive years, has already earned national attention from Division 1 football programs. This week, the junior was named among the top “half dozen QB underclassmen in Michigan to watch out for in the off-season” by State Champs Sports Network.

This is what the publication had to say about Parachek: Colin Parachek (Dexter 6-4, 200) — This Dexter dynamo is the prototype big-armed pocket passer. Parachek has excellent command in the huddle and boatloads of poise and presence under pressure. In other words, he’s tough and he’s mentally sharp.

With Parachek behind center, the Dreadnaughts went 8-2 and for the first time in school history hosted a playoff game. They finished the regular season with 330 points of offense while the defense allowed just 130 points. Dexter lost 41-39 to Churchill in a Pre-District game that came down to the final seconds.
