Around Town: City Office will reopen to the public on Monday, June 15

City Office Reopening

The City Office will reopen to the public on Monday, June 15, 2020. Business hours will continue to be 9 am to 5 pm. Due to our limited “lobby” area we encourage people to still use the mail or the drop box at 8140 Main (next to the door to the Sheriff’s Office) for water bill payments, returning absentee ballot applications, etc. Those visiting the office should wear a mask and abide by social distancing guidelines.

Clean Up Days

Waste Management has rescheduled the City’s Spring Clean Up Day for Monday, July 6, 2020. This is an opportunity for expanded collection of trash, appliances, and other bulky items. The following additional guidelines apply: 1) All loose material must be contained. 2) Appliances and bulky items are limited to what two people can safely lift; 3) Items must not contain hazardous materials such as freon and 4) Construction debris is prohibited.  Please have all items to the curb by 6 am.

Washtenaw County will host a clean up day on June 27th from 9 am to 1 pm at Whitmore Lake High School (7430 Whitmore Lake Rd). A list of materials that can be dropped off can be found in the link to the event flyer HERE
