Around Town: Mill Creek Path, Traffic Signal Update, Paving Work

Board Replacements on Mill Creek Path

Maintenance work on the Mill Creek Path will require it to be closed on Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 7:30 am to 11 am from the trail-head near Grand Street to the kayak launch.

Traffic Signal Upgrade

Starting after morning rush hour on Thursday, August 20, 2020 the traffic signals at Main and Baker will be upgraded. This will be a two phase process. The new signals will be installed and set to run the current timings on Thursday, the 20th. Next week, the new timings will be implemented. The upgrades will include a flashing yellow arrow to allow for left turns from Main onto Baker (similar to the light at Broad and Main).

Paving Work on the Mill Creek Path Extension

On Thursday, August 20, 2020 paving is scheduled for the extension of the Mill Creek Path. Trucks will start by accessing the construction zone at the Grand Street trail-head. Once that work is complete, intermittent delays on Baker Road will occur as the trucks move into position to access the new path just north of Creekside Intermediate School. Flaggers will be present to assist with traffic control. The work is expected to occur from 7 am to 7 pm.

Please proceed with caution and patience through these areas.
