The Dexter and Huron girls’ golf teams met out on the links on Tuesday in what turned out to be a perfect day for golf. Not too cold. Not too hot. Nice gentle breeze in the air and the sun making appearances on and off at Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter – by the way, the course was in amazing condition.
When the scorecards were added up, the Dreadnaughts came out on top in a close and competitive SEC dual-match. Dexter fired a team score of 215 while Huron carded a 252.
Olivia Naylor led Dexter with a 50 while Clare McCormick shot a 53, Camryn Chase carded a 55, Julianne Browning shot a 57 and Hannah Finch finished with a 59.
Huron was led by Aida Baidel with a 56 while Aico Miao shot a 61, Victoria Underwood carded a 64, Varvara Bashkirova shot a 71 and Reina Cookson fired a 79.
