Cross Country: Skyline sweeps Dexter in SEC crossover dual-meet   

The Skyline cross country teams swept Dexter on Saturday in an SEC cross-over race held at Hudson Mills Metropark.

Skyline took four of the top five spots in the girls race to run off with a 21-38 win over the host Dreadnaughts.

The run to the finish line was close between a pair of talented runners. Dexter junior Amanda McGill crossed first in 20:44.60, just a few steps ahead of Skyline senior Catrin Koselka who took second in 20:56.60.

The Eagles grabbed the next three spots with Laura O’Brien (20:59.10) running third, Lydia Cocciolone (21:03.5) in fourth and Natalie Kessler (21:20.50) fifth.

Dexter sophomore Chloe Sprague took sixth in 21:28.10. Skyline senior Sierra Lubetkin was seventh (21:31.00) and Dexter senior Abigail Fox was eighth in 21:39.80.

Skyline took the next two spots with a pair of freshman: Allison Mayer (ninth, 21:47.50) and Audrey Wells (10th, 22:04.10). Dexter ran off the next two spots with senior Faith Jones (11th, 22:24.10) and junior Hannah McComas (12th, 22:29.40).

Boys

The Skyline boys ran up a 20-37 win over Dexter on Saturday at Hudson Mills by taking four of the top five spots.

Skyline’s fantastic senior Hobbs Kessler was first with a speedy time of 15:13.50. Dexter senior Conor Kolka was second in 16:38.20.

The Eagles took the next three spots with freshman Luke Suliman third (17:38.60), sophomore Nicolas Fry fourth (17:30.50) and junior Sanjay Rao fifth (17:35.70).

Dexter freshman Brandon Anderson ran sixth (17:48.10), Skyline senior Ian Steele was seventh (17:59.50), Dexter sophomore Owen Ackerman was eighth (18:02.70) and Skyline junior Alex Ball was ninth (18:05.40).

Dexter took the next four spots with Adam Hauser 10th (18:05.80), Josh Lamb 11th (18:16.50), Rylan Teddy 12th (18:26.10) and Zachary Sawin 13th (18:29.50).
