Competitive Cheer: Dexter varsity, middle school teams take second at Saline

The Dexter varsity competitive cheer team continues to post results worth cheering about. The Dreadnaughts competed on Saturday at the Saline Invitational.

Dexter landed second in the four-team session with 670.18 points. Wyandotte finished first overall with 755.80 points. Host Saline took third with 661.74 points while Lincoln was fourth with 628.08 points.

The Dreadnaughts scored 214.40 in round one and 199.98 in round two for a two-round total of 404.38. Dexter finished with a score of 265.80 in round three.

Dexter’s middle school team also placed second. They finished with 385.70 points. Wagar Middle School (Carleton) took first overall with 396.80 points. Saline was third (369.80) and Lincoln fourth (277.82).
