Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation Youth Council accepting applications

The Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation (AAACF) Youth Council, a group of 25 high school aged students, is currently accepting applications for new members to begin serving in the fall of 2021.

The Youth Council is designed to enhance the decision making skills of young people, provide a space to assess and determine the most urgent concerns of Washtenaw County youth, and to develop leadership skills and a love of philanthropy at an early age.

To apply for a position on the Youth Council students must be entering 9th, 10th or 11th grade in the fall of 2021 AND live in Washtenaw County. This year six new members will be selected to fill the positions of the seniors who are graduating.

Responsibilities include attending monthly meetings at AAACF in downtown Ann Arbor and/or Zoom, participating in foundation wide events , attending site visits, doing service projects, and reviewing grant applications to distribute $80,000 +in grants.

Applications are due Aug. 29 and no experience is necessary.
