Huron Waterloo Pathways Initiative: Border-to-Border (B2B) Trail updates

Connecting the B2B Trail into downtown Chelsea from the north! Once this new segment is complete, trail users will enjoy 1.6 miles of new trail from the M-52 roundabout at Werkner Road to Timbertown and Veterans Park in Chelsea.

Continuing progress on the Dexter-Chelsea Corridor! In 2021, trail users will be able to enjoy a new 1.6 mile stretch from Dancer Road to Wylie Road in Lima Township . It is important to note that there are on-road sections between Dexter and Chelsea, where the B2B is not yet complete.

While we celebrate the B2B Trail every day of the year, we’re joining other trails across the country on National Trails Day on June 5th to take action to care for trails and advocate for equitable, safe access to quality green spaces.

Here’s how you can get involved locally!

Leave a trail better than you found it – Commit to taking a trash bag with you whenever you hike or go for a walk. Collect trash on a local trail, along your neighborhood sidewalk, or in a natural space near you.

Give a Gift – Help support safe trails in our community for everyone!  Give a gift to help build the Border to Border Trail here!

#RecreateResponsibly – Keep yourself healthy, keep others safe, and preserve and protect public lands, waters, and parks, and help make the outdoors inclusive for all. Check out these helpful guidelines and join the movement.
