The Dexter girls’ basketball team kept the pedal to the metal in the SEC Red Division with an easy 67-34 win Friday night over visiting Monroe. The Dreadnaughts raced to a 16-5 first quarter lead and never looked back.
Dexter outscored Monroe 20-6 in the second quarter to take a 36-11 lead into halftime. The Dreadnaughts won the third quarter 22-11.
Dexter had four players reach double figures in the win.

Sydney Pnacek continued her impressive scoring pace with a team-high 26 points. The senior hit five triples in the game and also had a team-high eight rebounds along with two assists and two steals.
Brianna Rodriguez made 5 of 12 shots including four triples to finish with 14 points. The senior also had a game-high seven assists and six rebounds along with a couple steals.
Senior Maddi Valentine and freshman Alena Blumberg each had 10 points. Valentine also had five assists, three rebounds and a pair of steals. Blumberg had seven rebounds, three assists and a team-high five steals.
Chloe Perry had three points and Maggie Lewis and Berta Sanjuan each scored two.
