Girls Water Polo: Dreads knock off Walled Lake in sudden-death OT

The Dexter HS varsity girls’ water polo team battled it out in what was yet another action-packed game against Walled Lake last Monday night. The Dreadnaughts scored an impressive 4-3 win in overtime.

Senior team captain Emily Root had a great night with 5 steals and 2 goals.  One of Root’s goals was the game-winner in sudden death assisted by Marissa Genske.

Other goals scored for the Dreadnaughts were by Shelby Walz and Laura Walton.  Senior and team captain goalie Mia Fraser contributed to the win with an impressive 24 saves, 4 steals and 1 assist.

Dexter plays at Pioneer on Monday.
