Water Polo: Dreadnaughts’ offense clicks in 16-5 win over Walled Lake

The Dexter water polo team showed off some good passing and ball movement along with solid defense in a 16-5 win over Walled Lake at Wylie Pool on Sept. 1. The Dreadnaughts, who kept the turnovers to a minimum, improved to 3-2 on the young season.

The Dreadnaughts led 3-1 after the first period and then scored seven goals in the second period to take a 10-3 lead. The hosts took a 13-3 lead into the final period.

Otto Krueger had a big game for Dexter. The junior had five goals along with a couple of assists to lead the offense. Liam MacNeil had three goals and three assists in the win. Grady Wheeler and Matthew Resende each scored twice for the Dreadnaughts. Travis Fitch (five steals and three assists), Owen Ragnes, Chance McArtor, and Ben Curtis also had goals.

McArtor, MacNeil and Curtis all had four steals.
