While a storm was moving into the area outside, inside at New Boston Huron High School a number of competitive cheer teams from all over Michigan gathered for the 2022 Chiefs Christmas Classic. It was a spirited event just in time for the spirited holiday season.
The meet, hosted before a packed house – and a packed parking lot – was divided up by divisions and the Dexter Dreadnaughts put on quite a show right in the middle of the sport’s most dominant area. Teams like Gibraltar Carlson and Allen Park have been the sport’s elite programs for more than a decade and other teams such Southgate Anderson, Riverview and Trenton are always strong.
