The Dexter varsity team spent Saturday morning – and afternoon – competing with purpose. The Dreadnaughts competed in the annual Airport Cheer Program (ACP) Pink Out in Carleton. The event not only gives varsity and middle school teams a chance to compete but also raises money and awareness to help fight breast cancer.
The field included 25 teams competing in a number of categories.
Ten middle school teams competed at the tournament. Dexter placed sixth with a very spirititive and outstanding 372.98 points. They scored 119.58 points in round two and 253.4 in round two.
Wager (Carleton schools) took first overall with 476.18 points with Grosse Ile second (459.78), Woodhaven third (448.84), Simpson-Green (Flat Rock) fourth (419.86), and Monroe fifth (407.28).
