Dance Marathon (DMUM) hosting annual Victorthon April 1

On April 1, 2023, Dance Marathon will be holding their 26th annual Victorthon event, with over 250 guests in attendance at the Oosterbaan Field House at the University of Michigan. The culmination of a year’s worth of fundraising efforts, this event will see University of Michigan students stand for twenty-four hours in a show of dedication to their cause.

The public is invited to attend and come experience the fun!

The event itself will be 24 hours long, but we invite you to join anytime from 2:15 – 6:00 p.m. on April 1. There will be a live performance from the group’s martial arts therapy group, a learn-along line dance segment, numerous carnival themed games and activities, and more at this time, with numerous patients at the University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and students at the University of Michigan present.

Dance Marathon (DMUM) will be fundraising at this event, raising critical funds for pediatric therapies at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. All money raised is exclusively channeled to Mott to provide services ranging from Adaptive Tree Climbing, to Music Therapy, to Adaptive Martial Arts, and more. DMUM also sponsors a rehabilitative therapist, who facilitates social events and opportunities for patients of all ages.

The event also will celebrate the fundraising efforts made and friendships formed over the course of the year. Key DMUM supporters will be recognized and the group will continue raising money for the duration of the event, until the big reveal, where they announce the total amount of money fundraised throughout the entire year.
