Inno Education hosts high school advice panel April 3; summer camp in July

Inno Education (Inno) is student-founded, student-led, and student-run non-profit organization dedicated to the empowerment of middle school youth through education and service in Wasthenaw County. More specifically, Inno is known in the Ann Arbor community for its two-week summer camp held in mid-July, spearheaded with the mission to inspire youth to learn to love learning.

From the curriculum counselors spend the school year designing to the camp content taught during the summer, every inch of the Inno experience is led by a team featuring of Ann Arbor high school students. Every inch of the Inno experience is about the melting pot of engagement, love, and learning. The most frequent comment they receive is “What sets Inno apart are the counselors.” Because the counselors know how to relate and make learning an endeavor brimming with passion.

When registering, campers are able to build their own camp day by choosing the courses they would be interested in taking. Inno prides itself in its eclectic course selection catalog, ranging from STEM classes like “Animal Science” and “Science of Sports,” to humanities classes like “Right or Wrong?”, and non-traditional ones such as “Fashion 101” and “Lights, Camera, Action!”

This year’s camp, the 6th annual Inno summer camp, will be held at Concordia University, July 10-21. More can be found about the organization, the team, and how to register on their website.

In addition to leading a summer camp, Inno engages the community throughout the year in various events. One of the upcoming events is a high school advice panel held at Clague Middle School, on Monday, April 3, 6:30-8 pm.

Knowing and having lived through the daunting nature of what’s to come after middle school, counselors at Inno have been working to create a resource to support incoming high school families. This event will cover all aspects of high school, extending from course selection, extra curricula, and social connections, to college readiness and balancing all that high school has to offer. Attendees may fill out this RSVP form for this event.

But no matter the project Inno’s team is working towards, they are always driven by the unwavering mission to inspire youth to learn to love learning.
