CSA Day is Saturday at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market
Learn about the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs, farm shares and food subscriptions offered by our vendors. We’re open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at 315 Detroit Street. You’ll also find seasonal produce, maple syrup, eggs, pastured meat and poultry, cheese, bread, baked goods, coffee, mead, prepared food, artisan items and more! We accept cash, and tokens for credit cards and SNAP/EBT/P-EBT are available at our market office window. Service animals are welcome. Accessible restrooms are available. Registration opens Wednesday, April 5 for Summer programs
Save the date, Wednesday, April 5, 8 a.m., to register for spring/summer programs hosted in the Ann Arbor parks. This includes summer day camps and swim lessons; canoe livery classes; volunteer outreach opportunities with GIVE 365 and classes at the Ann Arbor Senior Center.

Music therapy workshop
Wednesday, April 5, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Mel Clark, MT-BC of Backwoods Music Therapy shares a presentation about music therapy. Clark will provide live music demonstrations, answer questions about music therapy, as well as discuss the basics of what music therapy is, who it benefits and how it is practiced. NEW! Spring art exhibit: Adventures in watercolor
Friday, April 7, 6-8 p.m. Join us in welcoming members of the Washtenaw Community College Senior Focus class as they showcase their work created over the past year. Students include “newbies” to the medium as well as experienced artists and teachers. On Friday, April 7, there will be an opening reception with snacks, drinks and a chance to meet the artists. Golf season is upon us!
Spring is officially here and the City of Ann Arbor’s golf courses are finalizing preparations to open for the 2023 golf season. Huron Hills Golf Course (HHGC) currently has 7-holes open for play with the hopes of opening two to six more by Friday, March 31. Tee times are encouraged, but not needed. Power carts are available at Huron Hills beginning Friday, March 31 (weather dependent). Golfers are encouraged to call the HHGC, 734.794.6246, for additional information.
Leslie Park Golf Course will open for the season Thursday, April 6. Call LPGC, 734.794.6245 to schedule a tee time.

Natural Area Preservation (NAP) stewardship workdays
Tools and know-how provided. For your safety, wear long pants, tall socks, and closed-toe shoes. All minors should be accompanied by a guardian. More information: How to prepare for a NAP workday
Folkstone Park, Saturday, April 1, 9 a.m.-noon.
Containing excellent examples of the oak hickory forests that once dominated this area, Folkstone Park is a small three-acre park in northeast Ann Arbor. Don’t let the weather FOOL you on this workday. Best to dress in layers as NAP and volunteers work together to pull invasive species. You may even see a few aquatic frogs newly out of hibernation in the small wetlands in the park. Meet at the park entrance at the north end of Folkstone Ct. Preregister through VolunteerHub so NAP can plan on enough staff and supplies for a safe and successful event.
Lakewood Nature Area, Sunday, April 2, 1-4 p.m.
Lakewood Nature Area is a small seven-acre park located on the west side of Ann Arbor. With its rich understory of wildflowers, volunteers may be fortunate enough to spot some of the first blooms of spring while pulling invasive species in this park. Meet at the park entrance on Sunnywood Dr. Preregister through VolunteerHub so NAP can plan on enough staff and supplies for a safe and successful event.
