Dexter Area Historical Society (DAHS) announces Gordon Hall Days events

Gordon Hall Days Saturday and Sunday, September 9-10, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Donation $5/person or $20/car. Presenting a weekend of fun for everyone! Live animals, antique and flea market, crafts and demonstrations, children’s activities, car show (Saturday only), and MORE! Tour historic Gordon Hall and visit the newly renovated milk house, the only surviving original outbuilding on the property. See the Ann Arbor Model Railroad Club’s fascinating model train display. Food and refreshments. Gordon Hall Rock! with Billy Mack and the Juke Joint Johnnies – A Benefit for the Restoration of Gordon Hall, Friday, September 8. Doors and the bar open at 6:00 pm. Historic Gordon Hall will be open for you to explore the first floor only from 6-7:00 pm. After a short program beginning at 7:00, you can dance the night away under the tent to the sounds of local favorite Billy Mack and the Juke Joint Johnnies. Enjoy food and open bar with beer, wine, and soft drinks until 10:00. Tickets are $75 per person or $300 for 6 people. Advance purchase is suggested. Antique and Classic Car Show, Saturday September 9, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Donation $5/person or $20/car to enter the Gordon Hall Days event. You’ll love admiring and talking about the beloved prized possessions of some of our area’s most enthusiastic antique and classic car collectors. After you have enjoyed the cars, you can take in the other Gordon Hall Days activities, including model train display, antique and flea market, crafts and demonstrations, live animals, children’s activities, and MORE! Gordon Hall Tea and Period Fashion Show – Capes, Coats, and Cover-ups Saturday, September 9 at 1:00 pm. You are cordially invited to pass the afternoon under the big tent at Gordon Hall, sipping hot or iced tea and nibbling on elegant desserts with friends. Through period fashions created by designer Helen Welford, you will see how men and women stayed warm when cold winds blew in the early 20th century. Reservations are recommended; call 734‑395-4106. Tickets are $10 for the tea (plus $5/person or $20/car to enter the Gordon Hall Days event).
