Boys Cross Country: Pioneer runs first at SEC Jamboree (See WLAA-D photogallery – 100 photos)

The Pioneer boys’ cross country team landed four runners in the top 11 and finished with 48 points to run away with the SEC Jamboree No. 1 title on Wednesday at Indian Creek Park in Temperance Bedford.

Pinckney took second with 73 points followed by Saline (84), Adrian (91), Dexter (121), Huron (164), Bedford (171), Skyline (231) and Monroe (244) in the 13-team race.

Freshman Kamari Ronfeldt led the way for the Pioneers with his third-place finish time of 15:45.20. Senior Vincent Peterson Sand was seventh (15:56.1), senior Eric Overdier was 10th (16:20.5), sophomore Beckett Crooks was 11th (16:26.7) and senior Liam Bredeweg was 17th (16:48.5). Senior Joey Stevenson was 27th (17:15), senior Patrick Donoghue was 30th (17:19.8), freshman Dax Winegarden was 33rd (17:21.9), senior Gabe Sunburn was 52nd (17:46.10) and junior Finn Wilson was 57th (17:56.3).

Brandon Anderson led the Dreadnaughts across the finish line. The senior finished fourth overall with a time of 15:47.0. Junior Caleb Snyder had a strong race finishing 14th with a time of 16:33.7. Junior Julian Linebaugh was 28th (17:18.4), sophomore Cole Doty was 34th (17:23.4), junior Elijah Smith was 47th (17:40.3), senior Andrew Gafford was 51st (17:45.5), senior Jack McCalla was 56th (17:54.9), junior Scott Smith was 60th (17:58.3), senior Charlie Munson was 64th (18:08.3) and senior Sam Gibson was 68th (18:13.3).

The River Rats had two runners crack the top 25 with junior Jonah Kraft 18th (16:49.8) and junior Walker Rose 22nd (17:06.4). Senior Henry Beard was 35th (17:24.3), senior Lucas Weintraub was 41st (17:36.3), sophomore Thomas Conley was 58th (17:57.1) and sophomore Jamal Samaha was 59th (17:57.6).

Skyline senior Mason Jett led the Eagles with his 12th place time of 16:31.3. Sophomore Bruno Cifaldi was 32nd (17:21.5), junior Jack Robichaud was 62nd (18:00.5), freshman Nicholas Yuan was 75th (18:24.2), junior Alex Nemecek was 92nd (19:08.8), freshman Enshu Kuan was 94th (19:11.2), sophomore Gustaf Finn was 95th (19:17.9), junior Parker Razelun was 96th (19:20.6), freshman Garrett Comer was 97th (19:22.2) and freshman Paxton Rose was 101st (19:34.7).
