NKFM: No-cost chronic disease PATH workshops over Zoom start in October

ANN ARBOR — (September 27, 2023) — If you are living with a chronic disease, consider taking an upcoming virtual Personal Action Toward Health (PATH) workshop over Zoom. The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan (NKFM) provides no-cost workshops to help people manage chronic diseases and live healthier.

The multi-week PATH workshops feature health coaches working with small groups to explore skills and tools that help people with chronic diseases to improve the quality of their lives. Each week, the group discusses strategies to help people live healthier lives and set practical, achievable goals.

In all workshops, session topics include controlling symptoms, decreasing stress, advocating for yourself, communicating with health providers, and more. The workshop is open to all adults in Michigan with long-term health conditions, their caregivers and their loved ones. Registrants can join the workshops with a computer, tablet or smartphone.
