Swimming & Diving: Saline swims past Dexter in SEC matchup

The Dexter Women’s Swim and Dive team could not keep up with the Hornets at Saline High School on Thursday. Saline won by a score of 116-69. 

Dexter’s 200 Medley Relay team of Kayce McCallisster, Delaney Parker, Harper Brown, and Sydney Collins wrapped up the first event with a second place finish. 

Emma Bishop, Rebekah Murillo, Isabel Martinez, and Grace McClellan claimed spots 2-5 in the 200 Free. 

Parker was second in the 200 IM while McCallister and Brown finished second and fourth in the 50 Free. 

In a pool of talented divers, Bella Larson scored a third place finish. 

Martinez took fourth in the 100 Fly, and Bishop and Collins took third and fifth in the 100 Free.

Rebekah Murillo won the 500 Free with a MISCA Cut time of 5:38.85, and Grace McClellan finished third.

The 200 Free Relay team of Bishop, Diem Lee, Collins, and Martinez captured a second place finish. McCallister won the 100 Back, and Madelyn McClellan finished fifth.

In a narrow victory in the 100 Breaststroke, Harper Brown earned a D2 State Cut with the time of 1:08.31; Parker finished third. 

The 400 Free Relay team of McCallister, Bishop, Parker, and Brown took second, and the team of Martinez, Larson, Grace McClellan, and Murillo took third. 

Pioneer will host the Dexter Swim and Dive team on Thursday, October 5, 2023.
