Boys CC roundup: Pioneer, Skyline and Dexter run at Portage XC Invite 

Pioneer, Skyline and Dexter all competed on Saturday at the Portage XC Invitational with solid runs from both the Pioneers and Dreadnaughts.

Brighton ran first with 83 points followed by Grand Haven (128) and Dublin Jerome (161). Pioneer (216) was fifth, Skyline ran 19th (504) and Dexter finished 20th (531) in the 36-team race. 

Senior Vincent Peterson Sand continued his strong season with a 15th-place finish time of 15:50.9. Senior Eric Overdier was 29th in 16:07.4 followed by Beckett Crooks (33rd, 16:11.9), Patrick Donoghue (78th, 16:42.3), Theo Sacks-Thomas (80th, 16:43.2) and Joey Stevenson (146th, 17:21.5).

Skyline senior Luke Suliman had an impressive run with his 10th place time of 15:34.2. Mason Jett was 42nd (16:20.3) followed by Bruno Cifaldi (107th, 16:58.8), Nicholas Yuan (171st, 17:33.7) and Jack Robichaud (192nd, 17:52.1).

Three juniors led Dexter. Julian Linebaugh was 63rd (16:36.2), Elijah Smith was 113th (17:00.7) and Scott Smith was 117th (17:04.7). Cole Doty was 126th (17:12) and Sam Gibson ran 132nd (17:14.4).
