ANN ARBOR – Washtenaw Community College (WCC) and Washtenaw County have partnered to offer a tailored training program that enhances the capacity and impact of local non-profit agencies.
The 12-session Non-Profit Agency Training Program represents a comprehensive partnership between local government, WCC and ground-level community organizations. The final session of the county-funded program, which began in June, will be hosted Friday and will highlight the significance of continuous training and development.
WCC provides customized workshops for the 32 registered participants focusing on a wide range of topics essential for non-profit success. WCC organized and hosted each training session and recruited executive non-profit leaders to speak on the wide range of topics such as fundraising strategies, grant writing, financial management, volunteer recruitment and program evaluation.
“We are proud to partner with Washtenaw County to support the incredible work being done by non-profit agencies in our community. Through this program, we aim to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within these organizations, ultimately benefiting our entire community,” said Brandon Tucker, WCC’s Interim Vice President of Instruction.
Non-profit agencies play an integral role in addressing the diverse needs of residents, from providing essential social services to supporting community development and promoting the arts.

Additionally, WCC’s Entrepreneurship Center is a dedicated resource center on campus offering non-profit agencies access to a wealth of educational materials, research and networking opportunities. This center serves as a central point for collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
