Ann Arbor is celebrating its bicentennial in 2024, and in many creative, inclusive and unique ways. The Ann Arbor Bicentennial Murals project will incorporate a meaningful design on the basketball courts at two Ann Arbor parks – Bicentennial Park (formerly Southeast Area Park) and Leslie Park.
Make History
Are you an artist, in any sense of the word? Artists are invited to submit proposals to design a mural in recognition of the city’s 200 years: past, present and future. One selected artist will receive a $25,000 contract with the city for the purchase and installation of their design on two basketball courts located in city parks. Two runners-up will each receive $500.
