Boys Basketball: Dreadnaughts fall to Saline in SEC Red contest

Saline led Dexter 29-20 at halftime and then used a 19-7 run in the third quarter to pull away in an SEC Red boys’ basketball matchup on Friday night. The Hornets scored a 64-48 victory over the Dreadnaughts.

“Saline shot the ball really well,” said Dexter Coach Jason Rushton.

Garrett Sharp played very well for the Dreadnaughts and led all scorers with 18 points. Scotty Smith added 8 points and Gabe Rychener had five points.

“Ben Murphy has done an incredible job for us defensively and always makes it tough for the other team’s best player,” said Rushton.

Dexter plays Tuesday at Lincoln.
