Dexter District Library presents New Directions in Celtic Harping with Carol Kappus & Friends

Date:
Saturday, 03/16/2024
Time: 2:00 pm

Celebrate St Patrick’s Day with Carol and friends as they take a look at Celtic Harping, past, present and future starting with traditional tunes from Ireland, Scotland and Wales, to the music being written by Celtic composers today and then to the wild new things we’re doing with the new electric harps of the future.  Carol will be joined this year by dancer/singers Dayna Plehn and Robert Peavyhouse, and the Ann Arbor Celtic Harpers.   Yes!  Even a set of tunes by Bon Jovi, played on the harp!!   That’s something you don’t hear every day.    Come join us!!!

This program will be in the Library’s lower-level meeting room. Registration is appreciated, but not required. Scroll down to register or call 734-426-4477 (ext. 120)
