Washtenaw County Human Resources to Host In-Person Career Fair

The Washtenaw County Human Resources Department is excited to host an in-person Career Fair on April 12, 2024, from 9:00am to 2pm. The event will take place at the Learning Resource Center (4135 Washtenaw Ave. Ann Arbor, MI 48108) and brings several county departments together for jobseekers to learn more about positions offered at Washtenaw County. Future county leaders will learn more about the impactful work at Washtenaw County, meet department representatives and learn about available roles.

“We will present a wide variety of employment opportunities within the county’s departments.”, says Guillermo Hernandez, Executive Director of the Washtenaw County Human Resources Department. “This event demonstrates our commitment to improving public service with talented individuals who share our vision for a vibrant and prosperous community. We warmly invite job seekers to explore the diverse career paths available and to become part of our team, which is dedicated to serving the residents of Washtenaw County.”

Departments represented will be the14-A District Court, Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office, Health Department, Prosecutor’s Office, and Children’s Services, Facilities Management, Community Mental Health – Youth and Family, Information Technology/ Cyber Security and Human Resources.  The list of participating departments continues to grow. No pre-registration is necessary, but jobseekers should bring copies of their updated resume.

Washtenaw County offers competitive wages, health and dental benefits, paid holidays, and great retirement options. Washtenaw County adheres to a living wage policy that sets the county’s minimum wage at $15.00 per hour. The county seeks to fill both bargained for and non-union positions.
