Public invited to WCC Student Art Show featuring 125 works of art

Open house and awards ceremony will be April 4

ANN ARBOR – The 2024 Student Art Show at Washtenaw Community College (WCC) is open to the public through April 15.

The show features 125 works of art in various media throughout the second floor common space of the Student Center Building on campus, 4800 E. Huron River Drive.

An open house and awards ceremony will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 4. The public is invited.

Among the awards announced will be a People’s Choice Award. The public may cast a ballot for this award at the online virtual gallery by 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, April 2.

The Student Art Show is designed to promote and celebrate the art created by students in WCC classes. Artwork includes drawings, photography, paintings, ceramics, mixed media, 3D design and more.

This year’s show was adjudicated by Jason Ferguson, Full Professor in 3D and Foundations at Eastern Michigan University.
