Girls Soccer: Skyline opens season with 1-0 win at Northville

The Skyline girls’ soccer team made quite the opening statement Saturday with a 1-0 win at Northville in a non-conference game.

Facing a tough team, one that played in the State semifinals last season, the Eagles scored a goal just before halftime to put them up 1-0. Finished by Quincy Tramontin, it proved to be the game-winning goal.

The Eagles played hard and showed good game management in the second half, leading to their first win of the season.

Another tough foe awaits as the Eagles face Saline at 7 p.m. on Thursday in a clash of SEC powerhouses.
