Hometown Health Heroes and Jean Chabut Policy Champions honored by Michigan Public Health Week partnership

The Michigan Public Health Week Partnership is pleased to announce Community Voices for Health Equity has been chosen to receive the Jean Chabut Health Policy Champion award for 2024. This award is presented to individuals and/or organizations that have made significant contributions toward the health and well-being of Michigan citizens in the policy arena at the local and/or state level.

It gives us great pleasure to present Community Voices for Health Equity with this award for the its accomplishments and dedication to the county’s health and well-being through the organization’s work to bring people together to discuss health equity issues, shape county health department practices and services, and support community-led advocacy and action.

You are invited to attend the award ceremony, which will be held on April 10 in the Heritage Hall Atrium in the State Capitol at 11:30 am. This is a special event to recognize all of Michigan’s Hometown Health Heroes and Jean Chabut Health Policy Champions. Immediately following the event, please join us at a luncheon in the Mackinac Room of the Anderson House Office Building on the southeast corner of Ottawa St. and Capitol Avenue.
