ANN ARBOR – What if your home is too small, is outdated, or in need of major repairs, but you love your neighborhood and don’t want to deal with the hassle of moving and finding a new house in today’s challenging market? Remodeling might be your best option.
A unique event is coming up, in which recently renovated homes are open for public tours. Visitors can see various approaches and styles, and meet leading design & build firms in the greater Ann Arbor area during a beautiful fall weekend on October 5th and 6th. The event serves homeowners looking for inspiration and ideas, and connects them to resources and professionals they can entrust with doing a successful transformation of their home.
Now in its 34th year, the 2024 Remodelers Home Tour is happening on October 5th and 6th, with homes open from 11am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Most people looking to hire a remodeler will look to past client reviews and look at their project photos online. The Tour takes this approach up a notch. While homeowners are typically not on site during the Tour hours of 11am to 5pm, the fact that they have agreed to share the resulting space with the public says a lot in favor of the contractor’s performance. People can evaluate the design concepts, and craftsmanship first-hand.
This year’s 14 projects in Ann Arbor and Saline offer 12 companies to choose from, as a couple of the builders have entered two projects to better show their range of capabilities.
Projects range from entire home remodels and two-story additions, to expanded kitchens, refined living spaces, with an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU), also in the mix. The homes can be previewed online, and tickets can be purchased at the homes or online.
Whatever changes people are looking to make in their homes, they will find inspiration and knowledgeable professionals to learn from at the 2024 Remodelers Home Tour.
