Water Polo: Pioneers keeping busy – and winning

Another busy week for the Pioneer water polo team with two games at home. The Pioneers hosted Saline on Tuesday and Dexter on Wednesday.

The varsity played strong games both nights and came away with two wins. The final score against Saline was 13-4. Senior Sawyer Thompson had 5 goals, sophomores MIsi Flautner and Elijah Almeida each had 3 steals.

Against Dexter, Thompson had 5 goals and Almeida had seven steals to lead the Pioneers to a 15-4 win.

The junior varsity team played a close game against Saline, losing in the last 2 minutes 8-7. They beat Dexter 12-8.

The team hosts Chelsea on Tuesday 10/1 at Hill pool. Varsity plays at 6:15 and JV follows at 7:15.
