Educators from Michigan walked through halls and classrooms at three Ann Arbor schools Tuesday to see Project Lead The Way  (PLTW ) students in action.

The group of 34 visitors visited Skyline High School, Forsythe Middle School and Wines Elementary, where students at each stop presented projects and explained their work.

“The day went well,” said AAPS Career and Technology Education Director Tom Pachera. “We had members of our community, partners from The Henry Ford, PLTW and Sartorius, plus representatives from districts across the state.”

“Our students had a great time interacting with our guests, several of which commented on how enthusiastic and happy our students are with the PLTW program.”

At Forsythe Middle School, students demonstrated engineering projects, demonstrating exceptional engagement and pride in their work, according to STEAM/PLTW teacher Cynthia Heraud.

“The level of complexity in their engineering design projects, especially the puzzle cubes, was remarkable,” said Heraud. “It was a joy to watch students light up as they explained their design process, even managing to stump many of the visitors with their creative solutions. The showcase truly highlighted the students’ dedication to the engineering process and their passion for innovation.”
