Before the Winter Break, the team had one meet, falling short against the Brighton Bulldogs last year on December 17 by a score of 109-71.
Following that meet, the team had an excellent two weeks of training over the break, getting up early for two-a-days on many days when their fellow students were taking the opportunity to sleep in. The highlight of the training period was the annual practice on New Year’s Day morning including the team’s Winter Games and pancake breakfast.
Against Brighton, Skyline won the 200 Free Relay (McKelvey, Shannon, Jenkins, Co Zillich) and the 400 Free Relay (Jenkins, Co Zillich, Shannon, McKelvey), and captured 3rd place in the 200 Medley Relay (Pokryfke, H Strait, Ca Zillich, Howe).
In the individual events, points were scored by Aricioglu (500 Free-6th ), Duffy (100 Free-6th ), Hartnett (100 Fly-5th ), Jenkins (500 Free-2nd , 200 Free-4th ), Knight (Diving-1st ), Mazza (100 Breast-5 th ), McKelvey (200 IM-1st , 100 Back-1st ), Pokryfke (50 Free-5th , 100 Back-5th ), Shannon (50 Free-2nd , 100 Free-2nd ), H Strait (100 Breast-1st , 200 IM-4th ), and Co Zillich (200 Free-2nd , 100 Fly-2nd ).
