The Skyline Men’s Swim & Dive team defeated both Bedford and Chelsea in a tri-meet last Tuesday and fell to Saline on Thursday in a dual meet.
On Tuesday, Skyline finished 1st in all three relays – the 200 Medley Relay (Owen McKelvey, Henry Strait, Wesley Jenkins, Stuart Knight), the 200 Free Relay (H Strait, Connor Zillich, Knight, Robby Shannon), and the 400 Free Relay (Shannon, Co Zillich, Jenkins, McKelvey).
Top 5 individual finishes were turned in by Jenkins (100 Free-2nd, 100 Back-2nd), Knight (Diving-1st, 50 Free-5th), Aidan Mazza (200 IM-3rd, 100 Breast-5th), McKelvey (100 Fly-1st, 100 Breast-1st), Shannon (200 Free-1st, 500 Free-1st), H Strait (200 IM-2nd, 100 Breast-3rd), and Co Zillich (100 Free-1st, 200 Free-2nd).
Against Saline individual top 5 finishes were turned in by Lincoln Balazer (100 Back-5th), Jenkins (500 Free-2nd), Knight (Diving-1st), Mazza (200 IM-4th, 100 Breast-5th), McKelvey (100 Back-1st, 200 Free-2nd), Shannon (50 Free-1st, 100 Free-1st), H Strait (200 IM-2nd, 100 Breast-4th), Cayden Zillich (200 IM-3rd, 100 Fly-5th), and Co Zillich (500 Free-1st, 200 Free-4th).
New State cuts were achieved this week by McKelvey (100 Breast) and Co Zillich (500 Free). In addition, personal bests and huge time drops were recorded by Burak Aricioglu (500 Free), Brody Howe (100 Free, 100 Breast), Jenkins (100 Free), Knight (Diving, 50 Free), Mazza (200 IM), Lucho Perez (100 Free), Shannon (500 Free), Emmett Strait (200 Free), H Strait (200 IM), and Darsh Vats (50 Free, 200 Free).
This Thursday Skyline will host Pioneer and celebrate Seniors at 6 p.m.
