Home, Garden & Lifestyle Show Returns to Ann Arbor – March 15 & 16

Ann Arbor – Anticipation is BUILDING for Washtenaw County’s biggest and longest running Home Show, its 33rd annual event. Over 120 exhibitors and 4,000 visitors are expected to gather at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds in Ann Arbor on Saturday and Sunday, March 15 & 16, 2025. The early spring exhibition features local designers & builders, skilled tradespeople, new technology for the home, materials and products, and more resources to help folks improve their home and lifestyle. Additional vendors include a Marketplace area with handmade and specialty items. People will also learn from local experts during Live Presentations with Q & A (in Building D). The event is known for its wide variety of resources for homeowners that add value to the community.

With many new exhibitors signed up this year, the in-person event being sold-out for 2025 is a positive sign for the economy, despite many challenges in the housing and construction industry. February reported lower home sales nationally, with buzz growing about a ‘buyer’s market’. The greater Ann Arbor area is one of the most resilient housing markets in the country, and many companies seek to expand their activity here. Homeowners remain committed to living in the area with a high quality of life ranking.

Andrea Salemi, who has managed the Show for 15 years, says, “The Home Show allows people to do some one-stop shopping, and schedule several projects or consultations in a fairly short time here – if they are ready to. People like the convenience of this Show which is so comprehensive. It helps folks to avoid the frustration of searching for contractors and suppliers later when they are busy or booked up. It also gives you an in-person connection with people you can trust your home projects to. These are such important decisions, you want to be confident in dealing with qualified professionals that you feel comfortable with, who communicate well and have a proven customer service record.”

“Many people also tell us they come for the Show’s educational value. It is a unique opportunity for homeowners to discuss their individual needs and find the right home improvement products for their situation. People often come with a clear plan of what they need – which is great – but they may also come across something new or that they didn’t expect. That makes the event fun and practical. Exhibitors tell us it is well worth putting in the effort to make this such an impressive Show.”

Pete Nowakowski, Marketing Director for BRAG Ann Arbor, explains “Vendors emphasize the importance of having your projects done properly. This is an opportunity for them to listen to potential clients, and do some community and market research, hearing first-hand what is on people’s minds and what they are interested in as well as what they aren’t aware of. Their focus is on improving their clients’ home and lifestyle. The energy at the Show is a great part of it, because having a home you love feels great, and is an exciting process when you have the right partners. Every year there are ways you can maximize the value and enjoyment of your property.” Adding, “The size and variety of talent and resources at this Show makes it a big financial driver in the community. And it’s awesome seeing so many entrepreneurs growing their businesses by improving our neighborhoods and making a difference in people’s lives that call this area ‘home sweet home’.”
