Federal Reserve Bank policy advisor first speaker of 2025 Washtenaw Economic Club season

ANN ARBOR – The Washtenaw Economic Club’s 2025 season kicks off with Kristin Dziczek, a high-level policy advisor from the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.

Dziczek will speak about “Battling Uncertainties in the Automotive Industry and the Economy” at the Economic Club’s Thursday, March 27, season opener at Washtenaw Community College.

The Noon luncheon event will be held in the Morris Lawrence Building. After Dziczek’s presentation, she will answer questions from the audience until 1:30 p.m. Networking and registration begins at 11:30 a.m.

Dziczek is a policy advisor in the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s research, policy and public engagement division. Her research focuses on the economic impacts of the transition to low-carbon and automated transportation.

She served as senior vice president of research at the non-profit Center for Automotive Research (CAR) from 2005-2022. Before that, she was associate director of the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center and worked for the U.S. Congress, International Union UAW and General Motors Corporation.

Dziczek received her B.A., M.P.P., and M.S., all from the University of Michigan.

Washtenaw Community College sponsors the Washtenaw Economic Club, a forum for business leaders in the local community. Members gather to identify and discuss issues directly impacting business and how economic analysis can inform decision-making processes for the business community.
