Baker Road Closures Scheduled Next Week for DTE Gas Line Relocation

DTE will be closing Baker Road next week as gas line relocation work continues. The closures will take place at night for minimum impact on traffic.

The Shield Road intersection of Baker Road will be closed from approximately 7 p.m. on Monday, June 4 to approximately 7 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5.

The Dan Hoey Road intersection of Baker Road will be closed from approximately 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5 to approzimately 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6.

The DTE Gas contractor is schedule to work from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. for the rest of the week (Wednesday, June 6 – Sunday, June 10) to help minimize traffic delays during lane restrictions.

Detours will be posted.

All dates are tentative and subject to change due to any unexpected extenuating circumstances.

The Wastenaw County Road Commission announced in their recent Weekly Road Word Update that the work on Dexter-Ann Arbor Road is expected to be completed by June 4.
