DTC Invites You to Try Your Luck with a Duck

Dexter Touchdown Club is hosting its 2nd annual Dreadnaught Duck Race this Saturday, August 11, 3:30 pm at Mill Creek Park and you are all invited to watch.

The fun raffle is a fundraiser that goes to support Dexter Community Schools football program.  Individually numbered ducks are purchased by supporters and released in Mill Creek near the Main Street Bridge (Mill Creek Park).  Like a horse race, the ducks race downstream to the B2B pedestrian bridge where the first lucky duck to arrive wins $500 for its backer.  Second prize is $100 and third prize is $50.

It’s a fun and raucous event for the kids who can run along Mill Creek cheering their duck along.  So as you’re out and about enjoying Dexter Daze, take a few minutes to relax in Mill Creek Park, maybe with cone or cup from the Dexter Creamery, and enjoy the race.

Ducks are $10 each or a flock of 6 for $50.  You can adopt your racing duck at the Dexter Touchdown Club booth at the Mill Creek Park during Dexter Daze, or online at www.dextertouchdownclub.com/fundraising/duckrace

DTC is a not for profit 501(c)3 that supports the football program for grades 7-12 right here in Dexter.  DTC thanks the Dexter Community for is continued support of Dexter Football and hopes to see everyone at the first varsity home football game on Friday August 31st at 7 p.m.
