Webster Fall Festival Almost Here!

From Webster Township Historical Society:

Fall is in the air, and one of the season’s most popular local events will soon take place on Saturday, September 22, when the 37th annual Webster Fall Festival welcomes visitors for a day filled with old-fashioned country fun!

Our traditional activities and attractions include: historic buildings, displays and demonstrations; antique cars and farm machinery; hay rides and a barrel train; farm animals and children’s activities; an art and quilt exhibit in the church sanctuary; and historic baseball games following rules from 1860.

This year’s live performances on Dieterle’s Corncrib Stage will begin with an American flag retirement ceremony at 11:30am followed by a visit from Rosie the Riveter and music by Fiddler Pie, Full Circle, and the RFD Boys.

Shoppers will want to arrive early to attend Braun and Helmer’s auction at 10am where they can bid on antiques and gift baskets donated by local businesses. Throughout the day, they can also purchase baked goods at the Taste of Webster, fresh produce at the Farmers’ Market, and unique gifts at the Artisans Market in the Crossroads Community Center.

If the fresh country air piques your appetite, there will be plenty of food and beverages available to purchase. The traditional Church Luncheon of soups and sandwiches will be served from 11am until 2pm; hot dogs, chips and beverages will be on sale from 10am until 5pm; and, new this year, a Pulled-pork Sandwich Dinner with sides and a beverage will be available from 1pm until 5pm.

The festival takes place on the corner of Webster Church and Farrell Roads, and is open from 10am until 5:30pm.

Admission and parking are free.
