Holiday Bazaar Set to Delight Dexterites This Saturday, Dec. 1

There are plenty of fun and exciting things happening this Saturday, Dec. 1, at the annual Community Holiday Bazaar sponsored by the Dexter Area Girl Scouts. Multiple locations around Dexter will have clever and creative artisan crafts for sale as well as cookies, nuts, and lunch.

As an incentive to visit all four locations, Dexter Makers are sponsoring a “Holiday Passport” drawing for a gift basket. Here’s how it works: pick up your passport at any location. Get it stamped at each stop. Turn it in when completed and be entered to win!

The four stops for your passport fun are:

  • Andrews Church where the Girl Scouts will be selling nuts and candy from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.
  • The Dexter Area Museum, across the street from St. Andrews, will be open for their holiday bazaar from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
  • The Dexter Senior Center, just a short walk down Ann Arbor St., will be displaying a delightful variety of gift possibilities from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
  • Dexter United Methodist Church on Huron River Dr. is hosting their annual Winterberry Fair from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. You can take a sneak peek through the windows at their community-oriented new construction as it nears completion.

Faith In Action needs your help keeping their food pantry stocked. The extra pressure of the holidays can break households with vulnerable budgets. FIA is there to support, and food moves quickly off the shelves. You can help by bringing a bag of nonperishable food items and drop it off at either St. Andrews or Dexter United Methodist. While you may not see the direct result of your generosity, rest assured it is appreciated more than you know.

The timing couldn’t be more perfect with rain in the forecast – it is warm and cozy indoors at each location. It is real social networking with friendly faces, lively conversation, and goodwill toward all people.
