Orchestras Unite for Dynamic Annual Holiday Concert Sunday, Dec. 16

Looking for a fun, family-friendly way to get into the Christmas spirit? Come to the annual holiday concert by the Dexter Community Orchestra and Dexter High School Orchestras, Sunday, December 16 at 4 p.m. at Dexter High School.

Dexter High School orchestra director Matt Deloria will lead the combined orchestras in a program of seasonal favorites old and new.

The program will range from such staples as the “Hallelujah Chorus” to more contemporary pieces, including themes from the movie “The Polar Express” (will you believe enough to hear the bell?) There will also be updated versions of traditional favorites, the ever-popular Christmas carol sing-along, and more.

As always, Dexter Community Orchestra concerts are free, although donations are encouraged and greatly appreciated. This annual event is always well-attended, so plan to come early to get good seats. At the end of the program, you are sure to leave walking in a “Winter Wonderland”.
