Encore Musical Theatre presents “Brigadoon” April 18-May 19

The Encore Musical Theatre Company presents “Brigadoon” April 18-May 19. Brigadoon is directed and choreographed by Wilde Award Winner Matthew Brennan and music directed by Wilde Award Winner Tyler Driskill.

Brigadoon, a musical with music by Frederick Loewe and book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner, is the enchanting and beloved Broadway musical that inspired the classic MGM film. It is a timeless, romantic classic which vividly brings the mystery and magic of the Scottish Highlands to life.

Two American tourists stumble upon Brigadoon, a mysterious Scottish village that appears for only one day every 100 years. Tommy, one of the tourists, falls in love with Fiona, a young woman from Brigadoon. Tommy must then decide whether to return to his old life or stay in the magical hamlet of Brigadoon – forever. Songs include “Almost Like Being in Love”, “Heather on the Hill”, “Come to Me, Bend to Me”, “Waitin’ For My Dearie”, and many more.

The Encore’s production stars Tyler Hodges (Tommy Albright) and Allison Hunt-Kaufmann (Fiona MacLaren); with Mark Gmazel (Jeff Douglas), Rachael Cupples (Meg Brockie), Patrick Wallae (Charlie Dalrymple), Bryana Hall (Jean MacLaren), Jose Martinez-Chavarria (Harry Beaton), Meg McNamee (Maggie Anderson), Mark Bernstein (Mr. Lundie), Luciana Piazza (Jane Ashton/Ensemble), Kathy               Waugh (Ensemble), Dale Dobson (Archie Beaton), Hayley Martin (Ensemble), Dan Morrison (Andrew MacLaren), and Jenn Bachman (Ensemble).
