Boys Cross Country: Dreadnaughts run away with DeWitt Invitational

The Dexter boys’ cross country team took the top two individual spots and four of the top eight in a dominating performance on Saturday at the DeWitt Cross Country Invitational.

The Dreadnaughts ran away from the field finishing with an amazing 33 points to win the 16-team event. Pinckney was a distant second with 68 points followed by St. Johns (95), Goodrich (152), Ionia (156) and Charlotte (165).

Four Dexter seniors crossed the finish line among the top eight. Owen Huard won his third race of the season and second straight with a time of 15:58.6. Nathan Larson continued his outstanding season with a second-place time of 16:06.3. Seth Read continues to move up the leaderboard with his highest finish of the season – sixth place (16:44.5).

Speaking of moving on up – William Buller had his first top-10 finish this year with his best time of the season. Buller went 16:57.1 to finish eighth for the Dreadnaughts.

Junior Conor Kolka was 16th in 17:14.4.
