Former Dexter standout Emma Tamer, who tallied her second multi-goal effort in three games for Michigan with her two markers against Penn State on Sunday (Oct. 20), was named the Big Ten and NFHCA National Defensive Player of the Week.
As a back, she also contributed to a defensive effort that allowed just one goal and just six shots on goal on the weekend.
Tamer (junior/sophomore) also shares the team lead with seven goals — the first markers of her collegiate career — all scored over the last seven games.
Tamer, who graduated from DHS in 2017, was selected to the Michigan All-State First Team (2013, ’14, ’16) and Second Team (2015). She helped lead the Dreadnaughts to a state title in 2014.
